Repair, storage & moth-proofing FAQs
Care options to protect your rug year-round.
What types of rug repairs do you do?
We handle fringe repair, binding/edge work, reweaving, hole and tear repair, colour correction, and restoration for worn areas. We’ll recommend the best approach based on the rug’s structure and value.
Can you fix curling corners or rippling?
Yes. Curling and rippling can come from wear, humidity, or improper underpadding. We can correct the issue and recommend the right underpad to help keep the rug flat.
Is rug storage climate-controlled and secure?
We offer secure, clean storage designed to help protect rugs from moisture, dust, and pests. Ask us about storage terms and how we prepare your rug before it’s stored.
What is moth-proofing and when is it needed?
Moth-proofing is a treatment that helps deter moth larvae that can damage wool rugs. It’s recommended if your rug is stored, in low-traffic rooms, or if you’ve had moth activity before.
Do you sell rug underpads? Which one should I choose?
Yes. Underpads improve comfort, reduce slipping, and help extend rug life. The best option depends on your floor type (hardwood vs. carpet), rug weight, and whether you need extra cushioning.
How should I prepare my rug for pickup or drop-off?
If possible, roll the rug (pile inward) and tie it with straps or string. Don’t use tape on fibres. If the rug is wet, let us know right away so we can prevent dye migration or mildew.
